Fresh Star Trek News, Straight From The Bridge

Brent Spiner has launched his web series Fresh Hell, and it showcases what life is and was like for the android officer, after he left Starfleet. Spiner plays himself on the web series and it starts when he had hit rock bottom after the “incident”.  The writer and producer of According To Jim, Harry Hannigan, helped Brent with the show.

A hot topic for the 2012 new Star Trek movie was whether to shoot it in the usual 2D, or in a 3D format.  The new “Scotty” apparently has offered his opinion from the UK.  New movies and whether they should be made in 2D or 2D, is a hot topic these days.  Avatar crushed all box office records and that was in both 3D and 2D.  Older folks who still love Sci-Fi (count me as one because I wrote in after they were going to cancel the original series after only 2 years) prefer 2D, because they usually wear glasses.  Watching 3D can make us “seniors” feel dizzy.

The question about the Star Trek movie being in 3D was brought up in January by JJ Abrams, who said that Paramount wanted the movie to be in 3D.  I guess we shall wait and see… Personally, I still want the option of 2D so I can enjoy my Star Trek without feeling like I’ve just gotten off a bad holodeck adventure.

I needed some good costume options and wanted to check out a few of those over the head latex masks.  Fortunately, I did locate some great looking ones so I posted a little info below.  Check them out.

Star Trek Movie 2009 Nero Deluxe Latex Mask AdultStar Trek Movie 2009 Nero Deluxe Latex Mask Adult

This is one nasty Romulan.  Of course, there haven’t been many good ones, either.  The deluxe mask is constructed very well and you’ll be the best Nero at your party in this fearsome mask.  It’s officially licensed by Star Trek so all will be good.

Star Trek Next Generation Worf Deluxe Latex Mask AdultStar Trek Next Generation Wolf Deluxe Latex Mask Adult

TNG’s Worf could show his caring side some of the time, especially with his son, Alexander.  This mask would make anyone into the son of Mogh, who became the first Klingon officer in Star Fleet.

If you want to look like a cold-blooded reptile, then this mask is for you.  This original series Gorn mask is deluxe and it features a comfortable fit, sculpted face, and an authentic design.

Star Trek Next Generation Locutus Mask AdultStar Trek Next Generation Locutus Mask Adult

It’s hard to rid yourself of those Borg memories, but Picard did.  Assimilation is hard on  a person.  This mask is high quality and will enable you to be able to slip into a Borg persona very easily.  Other than Seven of Nine, only Picard had the fortitude to survive the Borg experience. Honor them both when you wear this wonderful mask.

Want a quick Spock?  Put this Vulcan-eared and coiffed wig set on and voila!  Grab a clean blue velour shirt out of your closet and off you go.  The wig is high quality and the ears are also made from latex.  It’s officially licensed by Star Trek so your ears will certainly be a matching set!
