Update for Star Trek movie in 2012

John Cho, who played Sulu in The 2009 Star Trek movie, is looking forward to reuniting with his buddies on the set of the new film. He doesn’t know when the shoot will start, or what the plot is, but he is genuinely excited and anxious to get back into the Star Trek universe.

1Are you looking to add or renew parts of your Star Trek costumes this year, and especially for the upcoming Halloween season?  Worf has been a long time favourite in several Star Trek properties and it’s hard to find quality representations of this Klingon. 2 Check out this one — Star Trek Next Generation Klingon Male Deluxe costume.  It’s truly typical of the warrior that Worf is.  This particular ensemble features a wide-ribbed and padded off-white tunic with black sleeves, black pants with attached boot tops, all of the correct Klingon detailing and insignia, a character belt and a Klingon latex skull cap headpiece with Worf’s long black hair attached.  It’s an officially licensed Star Trek product so the look will be just right.

3Of course, Worf has to have a partner occasionally and when he meets up with this fantastic Star Trek Next Generation Klingon Female Deluxe costumed woman, there’ll be no holding back his appreciation!  The high quality outfit has a top of comfortably padded and panelled synthetic fibres which are silvery and look like steel.  It also boasts a tough-looking wide black belt and long black sleeves with Klingon appliques, as well as a wonderful Klingon skull cap with long, flowing black hair and the Klingon brow ridges we all love.  This one is also an officially licensed Star Trek costume so you know it’s correctly proportioned and detailed.

4If you hold a party at your house with all of your friends in attendance, then a handy and quite dandy Star Trek Deluxe Party Kit will really fit all of your replicator food serving  and decorating needs.  Your fellow trekkers can dine off of 9″ and 7″ plates, as well as paper cups and napkins and cutlery and blow out candles and eat off a well-designed table cover and be invited with a spiffy invitation!  The entire pack is for 8 guests so if you have more coming (of course you will!) then getting in several is suggested.  You know how Klingons don’t like to share their food!

5Some amongst your crowd always love to come to Star Trek parties as an alien.  We all have those secret desires!  One of the earliest aliens we saw on Star Trek the original series was Gorn.  This Star Trek Classic Gorn Deluxe Overhead Latex Mask for adults is perfect.  It’s an officially licensed Star Trek product so you know that Gorn’s reptilian features are true to the concept and you won’t recognize who’s portraying the alien except by his manner of speaking.  Possibly his bright red shoes, too!

Anyway, peace for the upcoming season and have fun, as always, and pay due homage to the late and great Gene Roddenberry in your Star Trek universe!

Star Trek movie 2012 update

Star Trek movie 2012 is well under way with JJ Abrams may peg actor Greg Grunberg for the role of Harcourt Fenton Mudd (aka Harry Mudd), as played in a couple of the classic Star Trek episodes.  Abrams and the actor have known each other  for years and Grunberg worked the actor into the 2009 movie as the voice of Kirk’s stepdad in the Corvette scene.  Grunberg has been in almost every Abrams production in one way or another, and as always, talks continue as to the exact plot for the sequel movie.

6Many Trekkers love to use items and costumes and props from many versions of Star Trek, and probably especially so at Halloween time.  If you are into Mr. Spock and haven’t seen a few new items, then the Star Trek Classic Blue Shirt Deluxe is definitely worth a look.  It’s styled according to the original series and is the usual soft and comfortable blue shirt with long sleeves and the Star Fleet emblem on the chest.  Of course, there’s the authentic two gold bands on the cuffs.  Because it’s made from synthetic material, the garment should last you through many seasons of fun and activities.  It’s an officially licensed Star Trek costume, as well.

7If you are fortunate enough to have your hair cut like Mr. Spock, then so be it.  If not, or your work look has to be more formal, then a Star Trek Movie 2009 Spock Wig will give you that perfect coiffure that Spock always had, even at Amok Time.  It’s also an officially licensed Star Trek product so it will be perfect with any of your Mr. Spock outfits.

8Many of us who saw the original series on TV, 1966 through 1969 (isn’t it ironic in a way that 1969 is the year we landed on the moon?), may have given our families the Star Trek bug.  If your son would love to be a smaller version of  Mr. Spock, then the Star Trek Movie Deluxe Blue Shirt for a child will be perfect.  Of course it’s sized right and it does include extras.  The ensemble features a blue Star Trek shirt, black dickie, pants with attached boot covers and an embroidered Star Fleet emblem.

9Don’t forget a pair of classic Spock ears.  The Star Trek Classic Spock Ears are perfect in case your own set has been worn so much that they’ve lost their “point”!  They are made from latex so are flexible and easy to apply (and take off ready for Monday at the office).  The ears are officially licensed Star Trek ones so “no fear with this ear!”.

Have fun this upcoming season and all year long.  Be joyful, and at peace.  Above all, of course, live long and prosper no matter what your Star Fleet rank is.
